Sure It’s An Expensive Pressure Cooker, But The Time And Coat Savings Are Unreal

I have bought slow cookers over the years and loved using them and still do, but the pressure cooker is a whole new ballgame.

Taking the pressure cooker to new heights with bluetooth and recipe booklet! I save tons of time and money every day!

Here is a dinner I made with my pressure cooker just the other day.

healthy chicken rice recipes

Season the chicken, well on both sides with your favorite spice or seasoning blend. If your blend does not contain salt, season the chicken with salt as well.

Add two cups of water to your pressure cooker or slow cooker, then add the chicken pieces.

Secure the lid, set the pressure cooker to high pressure. Once it reaches full pressure, cook for 30 minutes. Allow the pressure to release naturally.

Once the chicken is finished cooking, carefully lift it out of the cooker and place it on a baking sheet.

Adjust your oven rack so that the top of the meat will be 6-8 inches from the broiler.

Turn the broiler on to high, place the chicken in the oven, and let it broil for 5-7 minutes or until the chicken skin is brown and crispy.

Keep a close eye on the chicken while it’s under the broiler, as it can burn quickly.

While the chicken is broiling, pour the remaining liquid (broth) from the pressure cooker through a sleeve to strain out any bone or skin fragments.

Measure the broth to see how much was left behind. You’ll want three cups of broth. If you have less, simply add enough water to make three cups of broth total.

Taste the broth and adjust the salt if needed.

Add broth plus 1 1/2 cups of uncooked long grain white rice back to the pressure cooker. Secure the lid and select the rice function.

Once the rice had finished cooking, allow the pressure to decrease naturally, open the cooker, then fluff with a fork.

Serve the tender chicken pieces over the cooked rice, with chopped parsley as a garnish (optional).

The pressure cooker creates extremely tender meat, so the split chicken can be easily broken into pieces (breast, legs, thighs, wings) for serving.

 Pressure Cooker Vs. Slow Cooker

I want to explain some differences between the pressure cooker and the slow cooker, which both are great tools to have in the kitchen.

If I had to choose one, I would go with the pressure cooker %100. It has given me new and great ways to make my favorite recipes. I’ve used the slow cooker for a lot of the healthy recipes for most my life and in 2015 I purchased my first pressure cooker.

So I just want to give a few tips on how this wonderful tool saves me a whole lot of time, when I got my pressure cooker I was excited to make different recipes that I couldn’t before.

Compared to the slow cooker my food would take hours and didn’t infuse the food like the pressure cooker does. Also saving time was a huge plus in my life because I work for myself and never have much time to really cook the way I wanted to.

If you want meals that won’t take a lot out of your day I definitely encourage everyone who want’s to lose fat and save time to invest into a pressure cooker.pressure cooker healthy foods

I would like to say first off, the pressure cooker is more than just that, it can even slow cook if you want! Any type of beans and lentils will cook much easier than the slow cooker and if you don’t clamp down the lid it can be used as a pot as well!

One of the great features of this tool is that you can sauté and brown your ingredients first as lots of healthy recipes call for that.

With the slow cooker I could never do that and also took more time out of my day. Also, even when I turned my slow cooker on low it really was kinda high and not the desired low I was looking for. Now with the pressure cooker I can turn it down to a low gentle cook.

I would like to add that I do still use my slow cooker if I have the time or if I’m trying new recipes. I haven’t cut it right out of my life but really don’t use it that much anymore, hope you guy liked the info.

Let me know if you guys still use a slow cooker? or a pressure cooker? or do you use both to make your healthy recipes!

Why You Need A Pressure Cooker?

If you are looking to eat healthier then this pressure cooker is for you!

It’s a great price for all the appliances you will replace and you will have so much fun using this as I have. Hope You Enjoy 🙂

  • I’m a big fan of pressure cookers!

Like you said: they save us lots of time and the safety involved is great! I can just leave the house while the beans, rice or soup are being cooked. If it gets done before I get home… no problem! It will just keep my food warm, with no risk of burning it.

Now, this Bluetooth feature is amazing! I admit I hadn’t heard about it before. Monitoring the cooking process through an app on my cell phone would be perfect, considering my very busy life.

    Thanks for a wonderful review.

    • Hi Eliane,

I also am a huge fan of pressure cookers as well! I especially like this bluetooth pressure cooker as it takes all the guess work out of cooking and wondering if your food will burn or be under cooked.

Thanks for leaving a great comment and I hope you come back and maybe think about upgrading your pressure cooker to this one. Thanks again
